For years now, my home has been plagued by a band of invisible creatures who my kids and I have dubbed, ‘The Time Gobblers’. You might laugh, but I’m 99% sure you have your own little roaming pack of mischief makers. They hide keys, shoes, pants, and glasses. They change alarm clocks for the sheer fun of it and shovel ten minutes into their giant mouths for breakfast every morning. I keep a stack of Truancy letters as proof. So far, my children’s teachers aren’t buying our explanation for being late to school every morning.
Unfortunately, in the past few months, the Time Gobblers have become more ambitious. I’m fairly sure they ate an entire month. Somehow, the creatures got wind of my self-imposed deadline. I really should be more secretive about these things. It seems the faster I write, the more days they gobble.
So while I’m battling this army of miscreants, I thought I’d run a Giveaway or two for a signed paperback copy of ‘A Thread in the Tangle’. The first Giveaway is being ran through Goodreads, here. All you have to do is sign up (it’s free and you can keep track and review all the books you’ve read).
The second Giveaway will be through my website, right here on this page, for fans of ‘A Thread in the Tangle’. It’s sort of a big thank you for all your support and encouragement. Whether for the reviews you posted (which help SO much) or for your kind messages and comments. Although I’d love to give you all a copy, I can’t, so just one signed book is up for grabs. All you have to do is leave a comment on this blog entry. Leave a comment about ‘A Thread in the Tangle’. Let me know what you enjoyed (or didn’t) about the book, your favorite character, or why you are eager to read the next. You can even ask me questions, if you like. Next Monday, on the 10th, I’ll pick a random comment as winner. Just think, if only one person comments, then you are an automatic winner.
Who knows, maybe the Giveaways will distract the Time Gobblers and all your comments will beat them into submission. Through the years, I’ve more or less (mostly the latter) met my self-imposed writing deadlines, so I’m not sure happens when a writer fails. Do they implode?
Meanwhile, if someone finds where the Time Gobblers have stashed January, please return it to me ASAP.
*Note* Due to shipping costs, these Giveaways are limited to the USA. I do apologize, but feel free to leave a comment anyway, just specify that you are out of country so I don’t add your name to the hat.
