This was a very good book;I can’t believe it ended so soon!
Glad you enjoyed it, Vickie! Thanks for dropping by and saying so. If you mean Untold Tales, then you have two more long books to look forward to. The third will be out in early 2016. Happy reading!
Just finished reading “From the Ashes” and absolutely loved it! Have downloaded “A Bitter Draught”. Can’t wait to read it! Hope there will be more coming!
So glad you enjoyed it, Brenda! Thanks for letting me know. It always makes my day. I definitely plan on continuing the Ravenwood Mystery series.
Just finished both Ravenwood Agency books. Loved them. Please email when the next comes out.

Loved the Ravenswood series, so glad you will bring us more stories of Bel and Riot. Actually, I am fond of many of the characters and your excellent ability to set a scene. Thank you sharing their adventures with us! I am a definite fan!
Thank you so much for letting me know, Carrie. Hearing from readers always makes my day. I hope to write many more in the series. Feel free to tell your readerly friends and bookclubs about the books too. ๐
Really enjoyed reading A Bitter Draught. When will the #3 book in The Ravenwood Mysteries be coming out? Can’t wait!!!
Thanks.
Hi Judy! So glad you enjoyed A Bitter Draught. I have started in on the research for book #3. I’m hoping to have it out early 2017. You can sign up to my newsletter to make sure you receive any release up dates. I plan on writing two in the series back to back, so there will probably be two new books next year. ๐
Sabrina, I just read From the Ashes and I really loved reading it. I couldnโt put it down so I am now looking for A Bitter Draught. Please write more of this series!
Thanks Louise
So glad you liked From the Ashes, Louise! I have plans to write many more in the series, and am currently working on the research for the third book. Hope to release two in 2017.
Am thoroughly enjoying the Ravenwood mysteries. I needed a new series and stumbled across yours. So glad there will be more books to look forward to.
So glad you are enjoying them! And thank you for letting me know. It always makes my day. ๐
I’ve just finished the second of the Ravenswood series and am looking forward to more. I enjoy the style of writing, the stories and also the historical context. An interesting peek into the times.
Thank you so much for letting me know. It always makes my day to hear from readers. I’m currently working on the book three, and hope to have it published by June 2017.
I have just finished the 2nd in the Ravenwood mysteries. I have always been a reader, but in the past few years it is hard to finish a book – life is too demanding and my mind wanders to all the things needing to be done. Not with these books!! I devoured these two books in two days while my husband fixed his own dinner. The historic detail is wonderful, the plots realistic and the tension between Bel and Riot absolutely delicious. I hope there are many more in the series. I have #3 downloaded already – my husband is raiding the fridge?
Aww! Thank you so much for letting me know, Sherry. You totally made my day. High praise indeed! Although your husband might not think soโฆ Hope you enjoy Record of Blood. I’m hard at work on the next one. ๐
Absolutely canโt wait for the next Ravenwood book! The characters are incredibly clever without being preposterously lucky. Excellent chemistry. Read the first 3 in about a week. I may just call in sick at work when the next one arrives. ?
So glad you love the series, Heather! The fourth book will be up for preorder tomorrow or next day.
Will you continue with the Ravenwood series. Exceptional! Actually wanted to go to sleep @ around 3am so I read the last several chapters of the 3rd book so I would be able to finish it , then backtracked the next day from approximately 57%. That’s how great this series is.
I do plan on writing more in the series. Book 4 is out now and Iโm working on the next. So glad you enjoyed!
Thank goodness you are working on more Ravenwood mysteries! I just finished Book 4, trying to read slooowwww, as I knew it was the last one, at least for now, cant tell you how difficult it was lol. I teared up when I read Bel’s condition of marriage! I was so sad to come to the end of the book. I loved every character! Please don’t give up on any of them! Keep writing, keep writing!
Aww, thank you. ๐ Hearing that you teared up at end made my day. Not that I enjoy making people cry… but itโs the good kind of tears.
Love your Ravenwood series and can’t wait for the next one! Wonderful characters and you’ve created a special family with Tim, Lilly, the children, and especially Atticus and Bel who are courageous but vulnerable at the same time. Very well written and researched and I love the the historical facts you share at the end.
So glad you enjoyed!
I came to your website specifically to see if you were writing more in the Ravenwood series. I have enjoyed the first four books so much that I was hoping to find you were continuing. I am very pleased to see that you are continuing! Thank you for a wonderful cast of characters and delightful mysteries! Keep writing!
Hi Melissa! Thanks so much for letting me know. Comments from readers like you help me keep writing. ๐ And yes, I’m definitely working on next.
Read the four Ravenwood books back to back. As an ex San Franciscan, I thoroughly enjoyed the historical setting. The characters were so well developed and the stories keep you very interested. Thank you for such a well written series. I look forward to more.
Hi Janie! So glad you enjoyed the series. It always makes my day hearing from readers. I’m currently working on book 5.
I’m so happy to have found you! I’ve only read the first Ravenwood but have the next on hold via our MN state library system. The older I get, the more unwilling I am to keep reading anything that doesn’t “grab” me and I realize that most important to me is “content.” You give us superlative content, dear Sabrina…thank you so very much. I am in awe of your skill… Bonnie
Such high praise, Bonnie. I’m blushing. And thank you for letting me know. Comments like these keep me writing. Hope you enjoy the rest of the series. ๐
I thought I’d check in to see what you were working on next. It’s not often I leave reviews on Amazon, but I had to after I read From the Ashes:
“With so many authors crowding the field these days, it takes some serious digging to find one that really can deliver the goods!
Ah what a pleasure to find this is a writer who can really write! The author weaves a very good tale that is complex and has characters with depth. There’s the detective determined that this will be his last case. He can’t get over the brutal way his partner and mentor was killed. Then there is the attention to historical detail giving us a real feel for San Franciso circa 1900 when corruption and graft held sway in high places and the waterfront could be a crass and brutal place. To cap it all is a most unique female victim who challenges all feminine ideals of the time being a maverick from childhood. By the time the story has run its course, you are already hoping there will be more to come..”

I’ve grown pretty selective any more with my reading choices. You might say brutal even. I read lots of samples in search of a new (to me) good author, but they are very scarce in my opinion. So many good ideas out there and so many poor executions. I lean more towards fantasy/sci fi and historical mysteries/fiction these days, and as a seasoned reader, believe that regardless of subject matter, a well written book stands out. Sadly, the list of modern authors in that class, I find rather small considering the vast array on offer out there. I return to the few authors I cherish over and over again that have stood the test of time (my time!). But always I am in search to add to their number. How happy I am to add you to that select group.
You have a deft pen at making me feel and smell the San Franciso of that time (I have never been there). You consistently add to the complexity and depth of your characters and allow them to grow, and at the same time, you come up with a believable mystery! I also like the delicious romantic tension you have built between the two main protagonists. I still have two more to read (3 & 4) and hope there are more in the making. I do realize there is a lot of hard work and research to pull any of these off and honor you for your effort!
My apologies for such a long comment, but I’ll try not to let it happen again.
Best Wishes
Thank you so much for your kind words (and review)! I’m honored to be included in your list. And yes, there will be more Ravenwood Mysteries. I’m currently working on the fifth book. I wish I could write faster though. As you mentioned, the research does take a lot of hard work and time, but I like to at least try to be accurate. ๐ Look forward to hearing from you after the fourth book!
Ms. Sabrina your books are spendid . How can I order them in hard bound . I like to have the set of legend of frysta. I only read the first book in Wattpad. I want to hold the pages when I read them. ๐ ๐ ๐ I love that story a lot.
Hi Hazel,
So glad you loved A Thread in the Tangle! You can buy the series in paperback from various places. Amazon is easiest and quickest. But they are also sold at Indiebound, Createspace, and you can also ask your library or local bookstore to order the books. Hope that helps!
Just finished reading the fourth book in the series. I too wish you could write faster. But itโs worth it because you write so well. Wonderful attention to detail in both storyline and world building. You make San Francisco circa 1900 come alive! I got the audio book this time as well. Narrator was fantastic! Thanks so much. Grumpily waiting on number five. ๐
Aww, thank you, Nancy! It’s all that detail that slows me down, but glad it’s worth it. I spent four hours trying to find out if a street existed in 1900, as well as what it looked like, did it have residential homes, and did it have cable car service. All for two sentences. ๐
Hi Ms. Flynn, just wondering when the next Ravenwood mystery would be out,I have already started on my 3rd reading of this series so as you can imagine, I am kinda jonesing for the next in the series. By the way just found you sometime this summer ( 2018)so you can give yourself a giant pat on the back.
Would love to begin receiving your newsletter!
So glad you want to keep up with latest news! You can just click on the ‘mailing list’ on the top right of the website menu, and enter your email address there. Hope that helps. ๐
So sad to have finished Legends of Fyrsta. I fell head over heels for Isilde, Marsais, Oen, Accacia, Rivan, Elam, Zoshi, even Thira towards the end. Will there ever be another tale for them to tell?
So glad you loved the series, Miriam! I love all of those characters, too. They are very real to me. I’d love to write more books, but sadly the series didn’t really take off with the fantasy crowd. I’m currently trying to support my family, so I have to write what’s more popular (my mystery series). But I do have a few chapters of the next book written, where Isiilde, Marsais, Oen, and Morigan travel to Nuthaan. I hope to find some time to finish it. Meanwhile, tell your friends about the series!
Love love love the Ravenwood series. Nearing the end of Conspiracy of Silence – how soon will the 5th in the series be available? I prefer books to online – books means curling up in a chair with a blanket and tuning out the world. Great job.
Hi Nana! So glad you enjoy the Ravenwood Series. You are in luck. Book 5, The Devil’s Teeth, was just released in paperback and ebook format. Audiobooks are coming in next few months. Hope you enjoy! And spread the word about the series. Reviews are really helpful. ๐
