You received an email with a download link to a free eBook. Now what? Click on the DOWNLOAD button in your email:
Then, a blank page will open in your browser as the download is initiated. You can find the dowloaded file in the top-right corner of your browser window.
You can also find it in the downloads folder on your computer. Now, if you have an eReader app installed on your computer, all you need to do to start reading is to double-click the eBook file.
If you prefer to read on your eReader, plug your eReader into your computer and move the eBook file into the eReader folder that contains all your eBooks. Alternatively, you can email your eBook to your Amazon Kindle address. You can find that email address in your Amazon account under “my devices.”
NOTE: If you do not have an eReader app installed on your phone, tablet, or computer – you must do so, because every file format needs a dedicated program to open it. You can find the free Kindle app here, or other free eReader apps here.
For instructions on reading ebooks on a Chromebook, you read a step by step guide here.
If you are using a Samsung Android tablet and your ereader apps aren’t automatically recognizing the downloaded books, you might try the AlReader app from Google Play.
